Rosy has lived there all her life; she is a typical teenager who dreams of being a fashion model. Her father works for a large corporation that wants to build luxury hotels on the islands. Machi grew up on the islands with his great-uncle , a fisherman. But when he moves to Panama City to live with some relatives who have relocated, he and Rosy cross paths.
The cinematography by Petra Korner freezes the idyllic life on the islands, but the scenes in Panama City are equally vivid. The film draws telling contrasts between the slums where Machi's family lives and the more upscale environment that Rosy and her family inhabit.
America craves a true story where the Americans are unabashedly the heroic good guys, the men are men, and the women are women. Explained.

Midway looks like a low budget Pearl Harbor. I actually really like the movie a Pearl Harbor btw. It’s been my go to disc to show off the home theater for a long time. My stepfather would go to see Midway probably. Maybe it’s older people going to see it and it’s Veterans Day.
