This is an ugly win for the US - no respect for the opponent. After 5-6 goals you practice your passing techniques and play plans - not run up the score. Way to go coach - poor display of sportsmanship.
At least tell me they started playing their second and third string players after the score was 3 - 0 , and they knew they were going to win .

A youth soccer coach might be reprimanded or suspended for not pulling their team back after a 5 goal lead in league play. But this is a tournament at the highest level of the game and goal differential matters. Also pulling back causes mistakes and creates bad habits.
It's not the score that's the problem. The excessive celebration in a blowout is a very poor look. I'm OK with not letting off, but don't celebrate like it was an extra time goal in the final... When in reality it was the ninth goal in game 1 vs a country that has never been here

Obviously people criticizing the US team have met the German men soccer team. Germany could be up 5- 0 they play like they are losing. Ask Brazil, they know.
