‘The Take’: Adele’s Vegas Show Breaks Ticket Records, Tom Holland Finds Post ‘Spider-Man’ Role

It looks like the show…will go on? The Golden Globes nominations come next week, but the Hollywood Foreign Press Association remains under heavy scrutiny and the awards ceremony has no broadcast partner, meaning the show won’t be airing on NBC this year. Still, the HFPA is unveiling the nominations bright and early on Monday, but with no official submissions or support for studios or celebrities, who won’t be on hand for the noms being announced.

Drake isn’t the only one blowing up the internet in music news this week. Adele’s recently announced Las Vegas residency is setting records for pre-sale tickets sales for her upcoming “Weekends With Adele” show at Caesars Palace. The shows sold out at lightning speed and are being resold online for mind-boggling figures of up to tens of thousands of dollars.

Hollywood had a big week in buzzy casting announcements. Tom Holland is putting on his tap shoes to play Fred Astaire, following his bow as Spider-Man in “No Way Home.” “The Real Housewives” fan-favorite Kyle Richards is reprising her original role of Lindsey Wallace in the final installment of Jamie Lee Curtis’ “Halloween” trilogy.
