The Celtics' Jayson Tatum heard the “MVP!” inside Capital One Arena while scoring 30 points on 8-for-17 shooting. After this weekend, the Washington Wizards might want to have a chat with the NBA’s schedule makers. To make a team play the Chicago Bulls and Boston Celtics back-to-back, at the end of a week-long road trip, over St. Patrick’s Day weekend — a holiday perhaps celebrated more in Chicago and Boston than any other major U.S. city — felt a bit beyond the pale.
In all, the Celtics went 24-for-50 from the three-point line, just four off the Wizards’ franchise record for three-pointers made by an opponentWashington had no means for recourse. They shot 10-for-34 from the three-point line.
