The Queen has returned to solo royal duties

The Court Circular, the official daily document which records royal engagements, confirmed Her Majesty had presided over a ceremony to mark the retirement of key royal aide Lord Chamberlain on Tuesday. He helps organise royal ceremonies including funerals, such as that of the Duke of Edinburgh which is due to take place on Saturday .Earl Peel has held the position of Lord Chamberlain for 14 years.
