‘The Power of the Dog’ named best picture by British Academy Film judges

The awards returned in person after a largely virtual event last year because of the coronavirus pandemic. The celebration was overshadowed by the war in Ukraine, with several participants expressing solidarity with Ukrainians fighting Russia’s invasion of their country.
