It’s not just changing places but learning to be the other in just a couple of weeks before summer camp is over, and it’s a very entertaining process to watch.
Adults Annie and Hallie trying to fool their parents again wouldn’t be believable, and there’s another obstacle there as Natasha Richardson passed away in 2009. Pulling off another plan to fool their parents wouldn’t be believable as they have all gone through that already, and it would be strange to see Annie and Hallie as adults trying to do something like that again, thus completely missing the point of the movie.
Meredith Blake was an entertaining villain to watch as Annie and Hallie pulled some great pranks on her, but she was also a bad person who would be hard to redeem.
