Should the policymaking Federal Open Market Committee not deliver on market expectations, the result may not be pretty.

With investors over the past several months aggressively pricing in a friendly Federal Reserve, it seems the only thing the central bank could do at its meeting that wraps up Wednesday is disappoint.

"Markets could be very disappointed to see more hikes on the horizon," Joseph LaVorgna, chief economist for the Americas at Natixis, said in a note to clients."If the Fed does not confirm these expectations, a renewed bout of market turbulence could begin." It's been a different story since central bank officials changed their rhetoric to start the year, and major averages all are up at least 11 percent.Despite FOMC forecasts that still point to two more rate increases, the market is pricing in no chance of a rate hike by the end of the year, and in fact is indicating a nearly 30 percent probability of a cut, according to the CME"s tracker of fed funds futures trading.

Indeed, the dot math is going to be difficult to get the median dot to zero hikes and even more so to a cut.

Fed Faces Crucial Decision on Mix of Treasurys in Its PortfolioAs the Federal Reserve tries to decide when to stop shrinking its asset portfolio, an even more sensitive task may be to determine the composition of the Treasurys it holds, with implications for the economy and monetary policy. Dear, If Someone is saying 'He can CHANGE the World in RIGHT direction'. How would you react? 1- One Mad, Deranged or Mental health patient is sending Junk tweets? 2- Let him try something New? Why you shouldn't believe him? There is ample liquidity for credit such that spreads will remain compressed. Would think targeting rates achieves policy goal and less crowding out distortions. While not specifically within the Fed's congressional mandate, it would help if it could do something about our strong dollar, which is making our world-leading trade deficit worse. It bothers me that we are financing Chinese bullet trains while we are dodging chuckholes at home.

European markets set for a muted open amid Brexit confusionEuropean markets are heading towards a broadly flat open Thursday as investors digest the latest Brexit vote in the U.K. Parliament ruling out a no-deal departure from the block. Wow, just make it open at record highs, I can't believe they're struggling with such simple tasks! Next time the British should read and understand before they vote! UK will leave the EU under no deal. Price that in as that is what is going to happen. The people will force it through if necessary. Politicians do not own the Brexit process. The people do.
