This incessant pandering and genuflecting to LGBT people is not the answer, writes cwtremo. 'We should be treating everyone equally, not having special recognition because of sexual and romantic differences.'

Earlier this week, the Marines sent out a tweet containing a picture of a combat helmet with rainbow-colored bullets attached. It was an embarrassment and indicative of the backwardness of our country's current priorities. Moreover, the tweet is nothing more than the Democrats' latest attempt to pander to a group and create further division in the country.

Throughout June, the USMC takes #Pride in recognizing and honoring the contributions of our LGBTQ service members. We remain committed to fostering an environment free from discrimination, and defend the values of treating all equally, with dignity and respect.#PrideMonth #USMC pic.twitter.com/MOyvFmyJiBFirst off, there's absolutely no need to do anything like this. All Marines deserve to be treated equally — that goes without saying.

If the goal is equality, then the Marine Corps, or anybody in the country, should treat them as equals. Not give them the equivalent of a participation trophy and specifically prioritize people because of their sexual orientation.

Marines feature rainbow-colored bullets for Pride MonthIn a tweet, the Marine Corps showed images of standard-issue bullets painted in rainbow colors placed on the strap of a combat helmet. On the strap are the words, 'Proud to serve.' Will there ever be a day when world news announces a day without war? I understand CMC must be constrained by the President’s policy direction. Given the destruction already visited on the Corps. The nonsense about the strength given us by this transgender nonsense is infuriating. The helmet thing is disrespectful to all Marines.
