Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s self-confident character—and demonstrated ruthlessness—are unlikely to change, writes Karen Elliott House

Saudi Arabia’s leaders have historically shunned the spotlight, but over the past several years, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has become one of the most controversial and scrutinized people on the planet.

His admirers, including President Donald Trump, see him as a charismatic partner determined to contain Iran and modernize Saudi Arabia’s closed and deeply conservative society. His critics denounce him as an increasingly authoritarian ruler pursuing a reckless foreign policy. I liked the article. He has only one wife. 4 kids. It's hard to change culture and it's much needed.

IFixedIt Trump’s love of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s self-confident character—and demonstrated ruthlessness—are unlikely to change, writes Karen Elliott House Lovers

And realDonaldTrump will continue to suck up

'CHANGE' is a History at this level...

Now nuclear!

An autocrat and dictator that also supports the islamists.

Is he any different than Saddam Hussein, Hosni Mubarak or Muammar Gaddafi? I guess he has so much oil and money that the West is afraid to stand up to him.

Murdering pig

Trump , Pompeo. & his party that includes mainstream media, love and defend this man, but they terrorize IlhanMN , with their plan to continue to scrutinize her every word for their hateful racist decisions. They know what they are doing.

With respect, this is like telling us Charles Manson wouldn't change.

Ivanka and Jared love him too. They met with him a couple weeks ago. I didn’t see any reports on what they were doing there.

MBS (Murder By Squad) got friends in high places willing to look the other way but that’ll change in less than two years.

He is a leader who won the hearts of his nation, contained Iran, fraud, and crazy public spending - at the same time, re engineered a G20-State economy, liberated a conservative nation, and created thousands of jobs. All that in two years.

Republicans love him

He must have paid well for this article. First of many of course.

nothing but a cold blooded murderer👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
