It's a $200 million fan film that serves little purpose beyond reminding folks that the 1994 toon got it right the first time.

are indeed impressive. The animation and technology that crafted a pretty great adaptation ofthree years ago are in full swing in this adaptation of the blockbuster 1994 animated gem. However, like too many of these recent remakes of the Disney animated library, the emphasis is on “realism” at the expense of entertainment value. At almost every turn, this redo undercuts its own melodrama by downplaying its own emotions. The key direction seems to be “like the 1994 version, but less.

That sets the tone for the movie as a whole, where almost every line of comparatively colorful dialogue, every moment of spur-of-the-moment wit and every moment of comparatively devilish behavior is ironed out for the most straight-faced or “honorable” delivery.had this problem as well, so deathly afraid of being “offensive” or problematic that it removed any sense of danger or snark. In that film, Jasmine gained a generic power ballad but lost almost every moment of agency .

Nada más aburrido que los nuevos remakes de Disney, tan políticamente correctos.

The trailer has put me off already. It looks like African artwork you could buy at Pier 1 Imports in the 80's. The stuff that would make your mom whisper, 'yeah I know the zebra's cute but this is 'black' art, you don't ever want this stuff in your home if you have any class. '

Jesus Christ it's a children's movie, why does Forbes give a shit.

So true, most film reviewers do not like this flick': Disney removed so much and changed this film and did an unnecessary remake. I'll pass on this one

I already was

prepares to be shocked

Anything made 'live action' will seem less magical than an animated original

Thank you Forbes. Y'all seem like one of the only publications that's not brown nosing and sugarcoating! Let's keep it real.

DicksonOtieno oh gosh

Looks like they barely make facial expressions or show personality like the animation(duh cause they’re real animals) but that definitely impacts the story telling. And the voice overs ....🧐

I had no intention of seeing it, especially after this “It may be worth seeing once for the visuals, but its redundancy and inferiority has rendered it artistically irrelevant.”

The only disappointment I can think of is that Jeremy Irons isn't again the voice actor of Scar

movie critics who act like children can't seem to understand it's a movie for children

can't wait

ليييش جذي لييش ؟! 😞

Go away!

Nooooooooooo

Film Review: ‘The Lion King’From the ecstatic Zulu chant that opens the film — “Nants ingonyama bagithi baba!” — to the thundering drum beat that ends it, director Jon Favreau’s exhilarating live-action take on “The Lion King… So as with all Disney reimaginations looks good but complete unnecessary as it's almost a shot by shot animated remake with more advanced technology but Disney knows audiences are lemmings and will still pay $15+ to see it Until they train a real baboon to lift up a real lion cub before a mixed herd of real plains animals without killing and eating it, stop calling it 'live action.'
