Venezuela’s chief prosecutor Tarek William Saab says he’s launched an investigation into opposition leader Juan Guaido over suspicions he was involved in an attack on the country’s power grid.
Venezuelan officials accuse the U.S.-backed opposition of mounting a cyberattack on the system. Guaido and the U.S. blame years of mismanagement and corruption for allowing the once-wealthy country’s infrastructure crumble. U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says the U.S. is withdrawing its remaining embassy staff from the country, citing Venezuela’s deteriorating situation and “constraints” on U.S. policy caused by their continued presence.
let's hope he get arrested for that.
This guy's are delusional 'investigation'... yeah right! all is a media show a really bad, soup opera, with real life consequences. We need to to end this now!
A few facts: • the official explanation is a “cybernetic attack” on the Guri hydro plant. But Guri's SCADA systems have never been connected to the Internet. • the deterioration of Venezuela's network has been reported for over a decade. A few (cont)
therachelchick Get that fascist
Yes. Yes he was.
PaintItAgain Juan you put your head in here
Cuidado, pueden usar esto como excusa para arrestarlo!!
Or just cut to the chase, and arrest Maduro whose allowed the most prosperous nation in South America to become a beggar society.
Lmao, sounds like what a true DemozNazi Socialist would do. Nancypelosi AdamShiff
I see the sheep buying into it
AP fails to mention that Tarek William Saab has been under US sanction since July 2017, and is part of the MaduroRegime whose legitimacy rejected though much of the world. Venezuela people blame Maduro as shown in VenezuelaSinLuz trish_regan jguaido
Get him & bring him to the states so all of us Hispanics & Latinos can throw trash at him & berate him for putting the US before his own ppl. This is called treason & you know what happened to Montezuma! Bring him to us, we'll clue him in on what siding w/white imperialism means!
As a rule, it is a deflection when socialists/authoritarians blame someone else for a problem or system failure. They always find a scapegoat, e.g., the capitalist, the U.S., or political opposition. It's a useful tactic b/c their system, by nature, creates these failures.
WhiskersCrowley Better ask the CIA while you're at it.
The timing of VenezuelaBlackOut with Guaidó’s return was suspect at first glance. Classic CIA sabotage & falseflag. This is a coup, plain & simple! If Guaidó is installed, it’ll be the 68th overthrow by US govt in mostly democratic countries! THIS is how we spread democracy?!?
Backed by our CIA no doubt
It was the CIA with Guaidos support. Heck he even supports the US starving his own people with sanctions. I call that a traitor! So let the traitor hang out and in Caracas city square
Fine you’ll be doing it the dark
AdriannaHopkins (Pbuy) Greetings, Adrianna H! The drive for political power and influence.🙂
If anyone for one second believes this, you might want to understand that this started with Chavez and a drought.
Non stop propaganda down there. Hard to know what to believe
What a bunch of BS.
Stop the boat. Don’t shoot it unless I tell you to.
Complete bs
I'm sure it will be a very fair and thorough investigation.
Venezuela's Maduro gives attack-dog command to BITE and chief prosecutor Tarek William Saab goes after Guaido...!!!!
b1e56df9ce6549f Cut out the middle man, just ask the CIA. Hi guys!!!
OF COURSE HE WAS. HE AND THE US.
Where is your coverage for this news? Maduro is calling his paramilitary criminals (colectivos) against people of Venezuela who are claiming for liberty from his usurper regime. A crime announced!
Diversion...
LMAO he directed the flying drones that attached to the power lines? Or was it insider sabotage? Or a bombing at a transformer? Or an EMP? The story always changes.
Clearly it was a sabotage. The investigation may as well start with little marco marcorubio . People say he may have pertinent info on that.
His people were behind burning relief supplies a couple of weeks ago, that the western media quickly blamed on Maduro, this wouldn't be much of a stretch. HandsOffVenezuela
The plot thickens omg
Socialism is so great, isn’t it?
Welp, there goes the big capitalist hero narrative..
Presidente (E) Guaidó..
First it was the U.S., now it's opposition leader Guaido accused of causing power grid failure. Doubt that Venezuelan's struggling to survive under Maduro will believe or care. Poor attempt at misdirection. Maduro Venezuela
Politically motivated
En la foto se ve cuando desconectó el fluido🤣🤣🤣
Typical Socialists, they sound like U.S. democrats going after President Trump.
It was the US and the puppet, Guaido.
PutinsChaos
Socialism
The chances are good that a desperate Guaido would do anything not to fade back into the oblivion he cam from.
I think we should have Adam Schiff look into this immediately
The power outage was aimed at whipping up protest sentiment to topple Venezuela’s legitimate President Nicolas Maduro, more than likely orchestrated by the United States.
marcorubio thinks we should look in to the German Bar dam. Apparently there was some doucebaggery afoot. Rubioisanidiot
Illegal prosecutor Tarek William Saab and Juan Guido is the legal interin president of Venezuela ( please use the right words)
Welcome to big time Venezuela! Congrats on getting your own two year investigation while your leader continues to commit crimes.
Well considering that the entire judicial system are blind supporters of Maduro it's not strange this happend.
Conspired with Bukharin and Zinoviev no doubt.
Venezuela in the news MingGao26 Isn’t this Trump’s pick?
Sounds like the Russia investigation.
'suspicions', not persecution, yeah right
Yay Socialism
Of course they are
