People cheat, plain and simple. My SAT scores in 1979 were Math 620 and Verbal 310. Looks like I’m a genius in Math and a dodo in English. If i went to a private school, my SAT scores may have been Math 720 and Verbal 500, which would have gotten me into a “good” university.
