The OP-1 has a very idiosyncratic system that pushes you to make deliberate choices each step of the way.That’s not to say that it’s limited. It’s a synth, drum machine, sequencer, controller, and sampler all crammed together. It even has an FM radio tuner for grabbing random samples out of the aether.
