In recognition of my work, I am a Heinz Laureate, Nelson Mandela Changemaker, Forbes 30 Under 30, Foreign Policy 100, Time 100, Frederick Douglass 100, and Marie Claire Young Woman of the Year. Previously, I was appointed by President Barack Obama to the United States Department of State as a speechwriter and his Deputy White House Liaison and served at NASA. I graduated from Harvard University with a focus on national security and astrophysics.
