The play is a two-character production that originally debuted in 2011, with Foy and Smith starring. It went on to receive rave reviews and a sold-out run during its time at London’s Old Vic theater, with a critic saying of the duo’s performance, “The pair lend shape and dimension to a work that might seem piecemeal in lesser hands.”The duo previously played the starring roles of young Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip in Seasons 1 and 2 of Netflix’s.
