When I first reviewed Google Stadia, it was a mixed bag at best.

I will never have to worry about expanding storage for my Google Stadia. Actually, I now have two Stadia setups since I purchasedwhen Google was giving away a Stadia with the game. Since every game is streamed, you never have to download and install them on a drive. You never have to worry about patching or updating. You never have to choose which game to delete to free up storage space. This is incredibly convenient.

Then there’s the price. A PS5—if you can find one—will set you back $399 for the Digital Edition and $499 for the disc-based one. An Xbox Series X costs $499 while an Xbox Series S costs $299. Meanwhile, your Stadia’s performance is even more reliant on a fast, stable internet connection than normal online gaming. Even single-player games that have no online multiplayer component require the internet with Stadia. If your connection isn’t great, your Stadia experience won’t be either. Then again, so much of gaming relies on the internet these days, whether you’re on consoles, PC, mobile and so forth.

GeForce Now does one thing much better than Stadia: It allows you to stream the games you already own on platforms like Steam and the Epic Game Store and GOG.com on any machine. So your not-so-great laptop can stream demanding games likeThis isn’t exactly a “next-gen console” in the same way Stadia is, but it’s a great alternative with no upfront costs if you already own a bunch of PC games.Stadia may not be the most exciting new console. It’s not even really a console at all.

From my experience with it, Stadia and services like it sure are promising, and they're better than they used to be for sure, but it's going to take a bit of work before they can rival playing locally on a platform of choice.

GoogleStadia Stadia is shite lmao

GoogleStadia Input latency is the reason why I’m still not convinced that cloud based gaming can ever replace consoles/PC’s. The latency makes a lot of genres frustrating to play - FPS/TPS/Racing/Fighting/Precision platforming to make a few. Co-exist? Maybe. But we’re not even close.

Don't judge until you've tried I'm fully turned now full Stadian and proud. The only way is up. No downloads no updates just play away. I'm glad the console shortage pointed me to GoogleStadia theres more to come believe that.

Stop it...🤦‍♂️

GoogleStadia This can happen if Stadia greatly increases its video game catalogues

Finally, about time someone wakes up!!

Played on all the “next-gen” platforms and while I think Stadia and game streaming is going to be a big part of gaming in the years ahead we certainly aren’t there yet. It’s very cool to not have to download anything or think about storage. But if you got the bandwidth for

I have over 100 games on Stadia and haven't paid retail price for any of them. Stadia is the future simply because it is a platform and not a virtual box. It will be able to achieve things that Luna , XCloud , Geforce Now etc won't be able to touch in the future.

GemBearGaming People are finally beginning to see the future of video games! But remember people don't like change. I'm sure it's going to take a while for gamers to adapt to gaming through the cloud and there will always be pushed back from console and hardware enthusiasts. It's expected.

GoogleStadia All these people mad they've spent £500 on a new console when you can get GoogleStadia for 10% of that price 😌

GoogleStadia Nice to see all the haters out in force. Must mean the stadia is doing well 😄

GoogleStadia Favortie console ever here! Blazed through assassin creed origins/odyssey, octopath traveller, tomb raider series, and more! Plays cyberpunk 2077 flawlessly!

GoogleStadia I wonder why these articles don't mention that you don't need to buy the chromecast and controller. You just need a desktop or tablet that displays HD and buy the game directly, this is a much better 'testing' option. Playing Destiny 2 for free on my desktop sold me the service

As a gamer, this article is full of bias and is a failed attempt to market this console.
