Warner Bros.'s latest Batman reboot earned $57 million at the domestic box office on its first day . It is now on track to earn about $120 million in its first weekend. That would be the fifth-best March movie opening of all time, and the biggest opening of 2022 thus far.
Ben Affleck's debut as Batman in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice earned $166 million in its opening weekend. However, that movie benefitted from having both of DC's most iconic characters in its title, being Wonder Woman's first live-action movie appearance, and being DC's first big-screen crossover.
