In The Batman, the infamous Wayne murders happen 20 years before current events — orphaning Reeves' Bruce Wayne around the year 2002.
In The Batman, the Dark Knight detective investigates a mystery involving early versions of Catwoman , Riddler , and Penguin .

The two portrayals of the characters are now so iconic, it's almost hard to accept that they won't be interacting at any point. While it would be amazing to see, it makes sense to keep them separate for artistic integrity.

Why the Next Batman Movie Should Be ‘Batman Beyond’It’s the Batman movie we need (but not the one we deserve). This should be a no-brainer.
