The application is open for 2022 IndyStar Season for Sharing grants. What you need to know

Each year, IndyStar’s Season for Sharing campaign and the Our Children initiative use the power of local journalism to support Central Indiana's youth. Here's how you can help.Each year, IndyStar asks readers to lend a hand to their neighbors in need by supporting our annual Season for Sharing campaign. The shared mission of IndyStar’s Our Children initiative and annual Season for Sharing is to harness the power of journalism to make a difference in the lives of Central Indiana youth.

Last year, IndyStar awarded $120,000 to a dozen Central Indiana organizations, supporting projects addressing arts education, youth homelessness, child poverty, direct aid for low-income and immigrant families, mentoring and nutrition. Of that, over $114,000 was generously donated by IndyStar readers and the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust. The Our Children committee, which organizes Season for Sharing, also made a donation, rounding up the total.
