Republicans contend the income boost has given people a reason not to go back to work.

WASHINGTON — Federal coronavirus unemployment insurance is scheduled to expire at the end of this month as the pandemic makes a resurgence in parts of the U.S. and 25 million out-of-work Americans are collecting benefits.
