There’s no soil, so no mess, and a light on the device automatically lets you know when it needs more water or food.

I almost blocked you over this tweet. Sure you’ll have a few fresh herbs from time to time. But a pesto is impossible and a decent soup or salad would wipe that little garden out. You’ve got to be realistic about these things or risk your credibility.
