Texas State baseball headed to Stanford for NCAA regional

As a result, Texas State will have to contend with No. 2 overall seed Stanford , which advanced to the College World Series last season and opens this year’s tournament against America East champion Binghamton at 3 p.m. Friday. Though only two teams in the nation have won more games than Texas State this year, the Bobcats stand No. 26 in RPI behind the NCAA’s 114th-ranked strength of schedule. Texas State went 2-4 against teams in the top 25 and 7-7 against teams in the top 50, posting a 38-5 record against all other opponents.
