Spring severe weather season is well underway across Texas and the Central Plains.

A large chunk of Texas into Oklahoma will be under a severe storm outlook Saturday to Sunday morning once again.

Saturday will only offer up sprinkles and showers in our region through the day with a capping inversion of warm air aloft restricting storm development. Scattered showers in the morning to early afternoon are possible before gradual drying with increasing amounts of sun later in the afternoon to early evening.

A large chunk of Texas into Oklahoma will be under a severe storm outlook Saturday to Sunday morning. The Storm Prediction Center did increase the risk level to "moderate" for parts of North Texas or level 4 out of 5. The risk for strong winds, hail and possibly strong tornadoes will be higher in the enhanced to moderate risk.
