Texans' Derek Stingley Jr. was among the players listed as inactive for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.Texans have a new quarterback in Kyle Allen as they face Miami and look for their second win. How the Texans field their tight ends in the remaining six games will be notable. Akins and O.J. Howard are playing on one-year deals, and Jordan is under contract through 2024. —The Texans did not activate running back Eno Benjamin or wide receiver Amari Rodgers, a decision that followed the first time both players participated in a full week of practice.

Rodgers was expected to be more of a development project. The 2021 third round pick fumbled five times as a punt returner this season before the Packers released him. The Texans have had stable play in the return game from Tremon Smith and Desmond King, although Rodgers may have been able to supply King some in-game support since King is starting at cornerback for injured Derek Stingley Jr. for the second straight week.
