On Tuesday, Florida's State Emergency Operations Center said that the addresses of people who had tested positive were now being shared with first responders statewide. "Since COVID-19 is widely spread in our community, we worry that disclosure of the names and addresses of known COVID-19 cases would provide first responders with an incorrect assessment of where the risk lies and actually lead to reduced safety for our first responders," Neetu Balram, a spokeswoman for the department, said in an email. Not all first responders who are receiving addresses of COVID-19 patients are government workers.

"It's not clear how this information sharing is taking place, or what precautions the government is using to share the sensitive data," Carol Rose, the executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts, said in an email. Wouldn’t that violate hippa laws?

There privacy versus the general public;s health should they feel its okay to violate quarantine? Which is more dangerous? Weigh and decide

We are already losing our Constitutional rights, might as well trash Hipaa laws too They fought for us to remain free The men and women that came b4 me They never imagined we would self quarantine Handing our freedoms to govt with glee

That is illegal..

This is a way to ensure nobody wants to get tested and more people die

This doesn't make sense. Unless they are expecting intentional spread of the virus.

Why won’t they share the names and addresses of trump supporters so normal people know who to avoid?
