Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie character is set to be the Marvel Cinematic Universe's first openly LGBTQ superhero and will appear in the upcoming film,Tessa teased the announcement in San Diego at this weekend’s Comic-Con, where the clip of her hinting at her character’s future romantic storyline created a Twitter commotion.. “That will be her first order of business.”

Valkyrie is the MCU's first openly queer superhero. They've been around in Marvel Comics for a couple of decades now, from Northstar (who was allowed to openly state this in 1992, but was conceived as gay in 1983) to Iceman (who finally came out just a few years ago).
