- Tesla Inc lost $700 million in the first quarter but predicted it would return to profit in the third quarter as it cuts costs and improves delivery after facing issues ramping up shipments outside the United States.
The company, which many analysts predict will need to raise funds for its expansion, said it ended its first quarter with $2.2 billion in cash after paying off a $920 million convertible bond obligation in March. Tesla said it planned to deliver 90,000 to 100,000 vehicles to customers in the second quarter, where it predicted that an estimated loss would be “significantly” less than the $702 million lost in the first quarter. The gross profit margin on the Model 3 - a focus for investors - remained steady at 20 percent.
Yes it has.
Pyramid.
I would instead say that ship has crashed into an iceberg
Time for tesla to be good at components. Read:

Should be that fraud has failed. $TSLAQ
The Tesla peak of 2018 is obvious, the decline is consistent. The body styling is stale, the interiors poor, the battery life not per spec, & the innovation non existent. The low price point & squeezed margin is going to spell disaster for this company. A take over target for GM
Take some more acid, bring that ship back!
This company along with the main man behind it are trying to create a new paradigm, if Tesla were to foreclose Mr Musk would can safely say, I tried, I’ve laid the blueprint, I have shown there is a way, it’s not a failure for electric vehicles, it’s only the beginning.
He does have a point, the only reason to be a public company today is to satisfy VC/PE investors so they have an exit
Train wreck in slow motion.
Hmm who was the CEO, chairman and owner who decided to publicly list the company? Was it one E.Musk?
Yes, it means that you can’t falsely advertise tour products. Where’s my Enhanced autopilot Tesla ?
I agree with elonmusk $TSLA would have been far better off private 👏..... until JohnCarreyrou showed up.
Biz But they had funding secured at $420
The only reason Tesla is still standing is because they’ve been able to print stocks to stay alive for 8 years. $TSLA shares outstanding: 2011: 95 million 2018: 173 million
Chump change
Lol so that's why he spends so much time on Twitter!
Musk is going broke
