Tesla Fremont factory suffers another fire, investigation underway

A two-alarm fire broke out at Tesla's Fremont, California vehicle assembly plant late Monday afternoon, according to the Fremont Fire Department.

No injuries were reported at the scene and within three hours the fire had been"knocked down" and fire fighters released from the scene. The cause of the fire is still being investigated, the fire department said. The Fremont factory is Tesla's first mass EV manufacturing facility. It was first to produce the company's popular Model 3 sedans, and Model Y crossover utility vehicles, as well as its higher-end Model S sedan and Model X, an SUV with falcon wing doors.for its Fremont factory in conjunction with their battery factory outside of Reno, Nevada, saying they had surpassed production of 3 million vehicles.
