Tesla Model Y Crashes Into A Pole While Full-Self Driving Beta Was Being Tested | Carscoops carscoops

You may have seen some videos of the automaker’s Full-Self Driving package in recent months. Many of them show the system getting confused at times and getting perilously close to being involved in an accident.

During this clip, the YouTuber was putting his car through a ‘stress test’ on the city streets of San Jose. While Tesla’s driver assistant functions generally work well on highways, urban environments are much more difficult. For the first few minutes of this test, the Tesla seemed to be performing quite well, even though it did make a turn through a red light without stopping. At the 3:25 mark, the EV makes a right-hand turn but appears to get confused by a row of green and white poles separating the road from the bicycle lane. Before the owner is able to take over control of the steering and slam on the brakes, the car hits one of the poles.

Tesla recalls 50,000 cars that disobey stop signs in self-driving modeTesla is recalling 50,000 cars because the AI behind its self-driving mode rolled past stop signs instead of coming to a halt, as required by law in many states. That is not a vote of confidence toward these cars. How can it make such a silly mistake😑 Why would *true* AI care for human rules? Do we even know what we mean ... by the *I* in AI?

What My Tesla Model Y Taught Me This WeekMy Tesla Model Y has a lot it wants to teach me. I am a slow learner but this week I mastered Supercharging. It's easy! Always be prepared, my first Tesla was purchased in 2015 and there were very few Superchargers back then. I bought all the common adapters and even a large heavy duty extension cord. Do you have plugshare app? Yet the hotel did have a 120v outlet for you to use. Just because you failed to bring your adapter.

US intel indicates Russian officers have had doubts about full scale Ukraine invasionJUST IN: The US has intercepted communications showing some Russian officials have worried about the costs of a large-scale invasion of Ukraine I predict the suffering by the Russian people will get so bad that they’ll eventually protest like Moscow has never seen before. It will be Putin’s fatal mistake Oddly opposite to the US politicians and media companies sponsored by the MIC who seem to argue the costs of not having a war will affect profits. Yeah, inflation has really made invading other countries too expensive for most countries. Bummer.
