Republican Gov. Bill Lee says Tennessee will pause executions and conduct an independent review of a lethal injection testing oversight that forced him to call off the execution of Oscar Smith an hour before he was to die this month

FILE - This undated photo provided by the Tennessee Department of Correction shows inmate Oscar Smith. Tennessee's governor on Thursday, April 21, called off what was to have been the state's first execution since the start of the pandemic, granting a temporary reprieve to Smith, 72, for what was called an"oversight" in preparations for the lethal injection. Republican Gov. Bill Lee didn't elaborate on what issue forced the surprise 11th-hour stop to the planned execution.

His statement said the pause will remain in effect through the end of the year to allow time for the review and corrective action. The move comes after Smith’s attorneys asked last week for a moratorium on executions and a review of the state’s execution protocols.

Man Dead After Azle Police Use “Less Lethal” Approach During IncidentGeorge J. Gordon, 28, died Sunday after confront officers with a knife in hand. Officers used “less lethal option” to sustain Gordon, though officers won’t specify. Apparently NOT the 'less lethal option' Did multiple cops use the 'less lethal option' making it lethal? 'Police Department did not specify what 'less lethal' approach was used' What are they hiding? Waiting for the Brotherhood to come up with their own spin of the killing? What a terribly written article ONCE AGAIN published by NBCDFW. Did bother to get complete information. Smoke signals give more info 'Gordon, 28, advanced toward officers while holding a knife in his hand. ' That's all I need to know. Too bad he decided to do that, but zero sympathy here for him.

Tennessee family visiting Disney World says Apple AirTag used to track themJennifer Gaston said the family was headed back to their car when they made the AirTag discovery, getting a notification saying that the owner of an AirTag device had been tracking them. This isn’t how AirTags work. They likely ran into 1 of 2 scenarios: 1. Someone was setting up an AirTag near them and their device picked it up 2. They accidentally found a lost Airtag by clicking on something Criminals aren’t gonna be like “hey, let me connect this to you” So someone dropped it in one of their bags. But I don't get, how did apple notify them? How did apple know the air tag wasn't theirs? Probably one of the worst articles I read.
