As temperatures soared in the Bay Area Saturday, crews continued to battle several wildfires across the state.
Crews also responded to a brush fire in Antioch Saturday afternoon at Wilbur Avenue and Apollo Court. At the height of the fire, 326 structures were threatened, including Cal Fire Station 36 at Leesville, Cal Fire said Saturday evening. But after completing the damage inspection, the agency found zero impacted structures.The second largest fire in the state, the Post Fire in Los Angeles and Ventura counties, covered 15,690 acres, a figure that has not changed since Tuesday night. As of Saturday night, the fire was 79% contained.
In Calaveras County, crews increased containment of the 5,351-acre Aero Fire to 78%. The blaze has destroyed three structures and damaged one other. All evacuation warnings were lifted Saturday afternoon.
