The teenager had traveled to Kenosha that night from his home in nearby Antioch, Illinois, in a self-appointed role to protect the streets of Kenosha, where the police shooting of Jacob Blake had sparked unrest. The status hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. CDT in Lake County, Illinois. It was not clear whether Rittenhouse would appear in person or by video link.

They have said that Rittenhouse feared for his life when he fired his semi-automatic rifle and was acting in self-defense. Cellphone videos from the night show chaotic scenes, including one where Rittenhouse is chased and falls down before his encounter with Huber and another man, Gaige Grosskreutz.

You mean the kid who killed two after being attacked with a hand gun?

He's one of riots by traveling to Kenosha from his home in Antioch and self-appointed role to protect the streets of Kenosha without any authorization period.

He went there to kill people, if you can't see that you need to clean all that bullshit out of your eyes. 😡😡😡

'Huber appeared to hit Rittenhouse in the shoulder with a skateboard and tried to grab his rifle before being shot... Rittenhouse then pointed the rifle at Grosskreutz, who had a hand gun...' Are we in USA?Self-defence is now punishable in order to not offend rioters and looters.

Deserves what he gets , had no reason running up and down that street with a rifle acting like some crusader , his parents should be held accountable as well . Appears this he killed were more than protesters as well , looking for a fight it appeared

This country is going stark raving mad!

Obviously, self defense

It isn't a foreign country...Extradition? He voluntarily went across state lines with a weapon and killed others....A weapon that is Illegal for him to have and also possess ...in Both states...

If he were black he would have been gunned down on scene.

For clarity as someone who lives here: The Wanton Endangerment charge is for firing into OTHER apartments and not BT. BT was not mentioned in indictment. She's not named as the victim of his charges. Charges are for THE NEIGHBORS. Good. Everyone can go home now.
