A jury found a grocery clerk guilty of killing a 17-year-old boy who ran out of the store with a beer he didn't pay for in Memphis, authorities said.
Anwar Ghazali was convicted of second-degree murder after a four-day trial, Shelby County District Attorney General Amy Weirich said Friday. He will be sentenced on September 23. "This defendant took it upon himself to be the judge and jury and the executioner over a $2 beer," prosecutor Lora Fowler said, according to CNN affiliate WMC.The shooting happened in March 2018, after Dorian Harris walked out of the Top Stop Shop with a beer without paying, Weirich said.
Why steal at first place.. but again why even shoot for $2 .. humanity is dead.. peace people no one has to die like that.. lets be human again!!!
Terrible. Loss if life for a 2 dollar beer. This murderer will not last in jail.

It’s not about the price of the item stollen it is that the 17 year old felt fine about violating the store owner , the store, and the owner’s rights.

He shot the teen several times. He even told other patrons that he shot him. Why did it still take TWO DAYS for anyone to find his body? 😳
What a career move. Murdering someone because they took A Beer? Proof that guns, regardless of type are a serious problem in this country. Perhaps the family of that 17 Year old can have a crack at the trigger happy clerk. Once they get out of jail

It is generally against the law to use deadly force to defend property, but the criminals know that and use it to their advantage in committing crime. Yes, I should be allowed to shoot you for stealing my car.
