Around 10:32 p.m. Friday, Arlington police responded to a crash in the 5000 block of West Interstate 20. When police arrived, they learned a truck had been disabled between the inside lane and the shoulder of the interstate after a previous crash, police said.While trying to flee the state after his two cousins were shot to death at an Arlington apartment complex in January, court documents say a 19-year-old crashed his car and tried to sell the gun authorities believe was used in the crime.
When Rollins was first interviewed on Jan. 12, he told police he was asleep when the shooting occurred and did not know his cousins had been shot until the morning after, according to the affidavit. Rollins was on parole for aggravated robbery and wearing an ankle monitor at the time of the shooting, which later disproved his claim he was asleep, the affidavit said.
