Teachers’ Coronavirus Back-to-School List: Masks, Face Shields, Scrubs

Many states and districts say they will provide protective equipment, but some teachers are anxious about when the gear will arrive and what it will include

Face it. Many of these teachers just want a free ride. They have not been inside a classroom since March and have been paid to stay at home. The idea of going back to earning a living in the classroom must be terrifying.

Don't push..the academic year is long enough..

Easy. If teachers do not want to teach, use the opportunity to bring in a whole new generation of teachers who have not been polluted by indoctrination of 'schools of education. '

Don’t teachers already have this gear? Are the teachers currently trapped in quarantine within their homes because they don’t have PPE to safely leave?

Demand for PPE is increasing so it is more difficult to source and more expensive. More federal coordination would have been useful with this process

My wife bought her own - masks, gloves, sanitizer, air purifier, face shield.

N95s not available on Amazon for 6 months now. A viral epidemic was known to be inevitable. But literally no preparation by the US, state, or local governments. The N95 stockpile was used up in 2009, and never replenished since.
