Alan Schoenfeld, an attorney who represents the school board and school administrators, said Vlaming’s speech was part of his official teaching duties and his refusal to use the student’s pronouns clearly violated the anti-discrimination policy. Schoenfeld said it’s “inevitable” that pronouns would come into play in a classroom setting. Vlaming once inadvertently referred to the student as “she” in class, but immediately apologized.

This whole matter is really out of hand. If a teacher looks at a child and thinks it is a girl and says 'she' and finds out later that the child gender preference is a boy, she should have the freedom to either support this choice or not.
it’s fine for people to believe anything they want about themselves even despite the obvious reality. It is not fine for such person, to demand I buy in. And it is even worse that I have to subsidize his/her belief with tax dollars.
