Most financial professionals will tell you that you want to have your taxes owed or refund as close to zero as possible. If you are getting a large refund, you’re withholding too much. It’s like giving the government sn interest-free loan for an entire year.

Smaller refunds means that people paid less in excess throughout the year. It's good news.

If you are south of 150k expect to be dicked on your taxes. These are the income brackets that are paying for the tax cuts for the rich.

bc withholdings were reduced?

I was getting less money witheld per paycheck; I would expect a corresponding refund to be smaller.

Most will pay less but get less back in refund. Trump told the IRS commissioner to reduce witholdings more than the tax cuts warranted so people would think the cuts were bigger to raise approval. Now people are getting less back. Trump scammed the working people.

This is a good thing. You’re supposed to keep more of your paycheck in the first place.

ali70049534 But nobody took home more per paycheck? 🤔 Net taxes are lower but why explain to those lead by emotional insecurities? LiberalismIsAMentalDisorder

My refund was less this year.

The continuing ripping off of Americans by GOP.

Ha ha, 8% I could swallow. Mine was 60% less with no change in salary or filing status. Mostly because of the elimination of the personal exemptions and cap on real estate taxes. GOP bastards. TaxScamStories

This is by design of the GOP

Mine is about a third of what I got back last year.

Whoa...middle America idiots fooled again into supporting a policy that hurts them? That never happens.

I have family members reporting their refunds were MUCH lower. Family of 5, two working adults. GOPTaxScam

No worked out great for us we got twice as much back this year

If you’re getting any sizable refund it’s time to hire a tax professional

Not to mention the only ones filing now are the ones actually getting money back.... should have saved my extra money in my check ... didn’t realize I’d have to give it back

Ha that’s hardly true ..... received 2k last year paying 1k this year

Don't know about anybody else but I paid a lot less taxes this year

Please, please tell me they do not resemble a mushroom. taxes2019 taxes
