by LENNY COHEN | The National Desk Brandon Myers was charged with attempting to remove a firearm from a law enforcement officer, 2 counts of assault causing injury to a law enforcement officer, assault, 2 counts of resisting arrest , and those were just the felonies, April 28, 2024. Police got a call about an assault, early Sunday morning, April 28, and say they arrested the suspect, but it wasn’t easy.
Delaware State Police troopers reported “a man, identified as Brandon Myers, had assaulted a woman at the house and left. “A short time later, troopers found Myers on the property of a business,” and what happened next was violent. “He physically resisted arrest and attempted to take a trooper’s gun from the holster while they were arresting him.“Two troopers were treated for minor injuries.His criminal charges include six felonies: attempting to remove a firearm from a law enforcement officer, two counts of assault causing injury to a law enforcement officer, assault, two counts of resisting arrest, plus two counts of criminal mischief, criminal trespass, and disorderly conduct.
