Why higher tariffs mean higher bicycle prices: China accounted for 94% of the bikes imported to the U.S.

The U.S. last week increased tariffs on $200 billion of Chinese goods, from burglar alarms to spark plugs, ratcheting up the trade conflict with Beijing. The latest move added to pressure on the bicycle industry, which had already been hit by earlier rounds of tariffs.

Plenty of used bikes around. I suspect most cyclists will be able to knuckle down for a spell. Except for the dicks.

Our family business, like others, pays Trump's tariffs — not ChinaWe are importers of Christmas decorations. The vast majority of the items we import are made in China, with some exceptions. China is the only country that can produce many of the items we buy. Not your customers? Ignoranus Literally EVERYONE but China pays for these idiotic tariffs.
