From now until April 27, 2024, shoppers will have the opportunity to recycle an old, expired or damaged car seat and redeem a coupon on their Target app orcan be applied to both in-store and online purchases and is valid from April 14 through May 11.
The store says it will accept damaged or expired car seats. Target accepts convertible car seats, infant car seats, car seat bases, and harness and booster seats. So far, Target has recycled 2.6 million car seats or 39 million pounds of car seat material. Materials from the old car seats are recycled by Target’s partner, Waste Management. It will be used to create new products like pallets, plastic buckets and construction materials such as steel beams and carpet padding.
