Patrick Clark, 33, accused in the death of Migos rapper Takeoff in downtown Houston, makes his first appearance in court on Monday, Dec. 5, 2022 at the Criminal Courthouse in Houston.Investigators planned to search the pickup of the man accused of killing Migos rapper Takeoff, in hopes of recovering additional evidence to support the case against him in connection with the fatal shooting, according to a search warrant filed Tuesday in Harris County District Court.
In the days after the shooting, investigators obtained video of a group of men arguing outside the bowling alley before at least two of them began shooting, according to the search warrant. Video captured Clark pulling a gun and firing several seconds before Takeoff collapsed on the ground. Takeoff, 28, and the youngest member of the Grammy-nominated rap trio, was shot twice and died at the scene. Police have said he was an innocent bystander who had not been a participant in either the dice game or the argument. But the warrant suggests Migos member Quavo may well have been involved in the game and argument that eventually gave way to gunfire.
Video shows Joshua running back inside the bowling alley, armed with a handgun, but does not show him firing it, according to the search warrant.
