Tacoma to pay $1.25M to man injured in high-speed police chase

In his police report, officer Matthew Riche saw Rhoneasha Mitchell speeding on South Warner Street near the Tacoma Mall. Riche reportedly pursued her. Mitchell ran a red light at 60 mph and hit a truck driven by Tony Palas, who was injured in the crash. Mitchell pleaded guilty in 2018 to attempting to elude police and two counts of vehicular assault. She was also illegally possessing a firearm as a felon because there was a gun in her car at the time of the police chase, according to court documents.

When you break it down to straight facts; the officer did violate department policy (twice), and it did result in injuring a civilian.

So if your black and you speed and a cop tries to pull you over your being racially profiled? for some reason I thought if you get pulled over for nothing and your black that’s racially profiling? Amazing how things have changed!

lol the race card was played early by the 'victim' how TF can you sue the city when it was the driver speeding who wrecked into another car, not the cop...

Go armed, when they run away, take it back the same way.
