Syrian army launches 'intensive strikes on dens of Jabhat al-Nusra,' a group formerly affiliated with al Qaeda, in the southern Idlib province, according to state-run media

The Syrian army is launching"intensive strikes on dens of Jabhat al-Nusra," a group formerly affiliated with al Qaeda, in a village in southwestern Idlib province Sunday, Syrian state media is reporting.

SANA, the country's state-run news agency, also stated Saturday that the army's operations had destroyed multiple sites purportedly belonging to Jabhat al-Nusra in the southern Idlib countryside. The army killed and injured"a number of terrorists who had breached the de-escalation zone agreement through repeated attacks on military points and safe towns," SANA reported.

CNN became Syria’s national tv

Is this RT or CNN?

Assad's army targets hospitals, schools, civil defense centers and all aspects of life in Idlib, Assad and Russia are criminals...

This is pro-Assad propaganda.

Judging by the comments your little scam has worked. Most people don't realise that; 'Formally affiliated with Al Qaeda' means; 'Officially part of Al Qaeda.' And that applies to all parties, including civilians, within Al Qaeda's declared; 'Idlib Emirate.'

anything coming from CNN should be taken with a grain of salt, especially that idiot don Lemon

Outrageous that you should give Assad's barbarians the privilege of presenting their version, when they are clearly bombing civilians. Jabhat al-Nusra hasn't even existed since 2016.

You should include the fact the Russian Air Force is conducting the brunt of the strikes from the air. The devastating air campaign essentially allows for the Syrian army to walk forward to gain ground.

It's not about fighting terrorism. It's about wiping out the people of this area 'Sunni's' and kill as much as they can from them so they can replace them with their allies 'Shia'. They're burning everything not just everyone

Can you explain how it becomes 'formerly affiliated'? Something like 'they were terrorists yesterday but today they are not' ?

Obamma is not around to give aid and comfort to the terrorists anymore.

Jabhat al Nusra doesn’t exist anymore
