FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Three days a week year-round, employees with the City of Fairbanks Public Works Department Conditions in Fairbanks can make the task more difficult, with snow berms lining the roads for much of the year “They build up in front of everyone’s houses, and in Alaska, especially in Fairbanks, our roads aren’t really all that uniform so it’s always going to happen,” said Jennifer Morris , Permanent Packer Driver with Public Works.
Residents can help avoid injuries by not stacking their trash on top of or behind the berms at their house. “If you could please make your garbage accessible to us, bring it to the side of that berm or even on the outside of that berm,” Morris said.
