After 9 p.m., officers responded to reports of an attempted carjacking with shots fired in the 1700 block of 6th Avenue South. Investigators said a woman got out of the van with a cutting tool and got under his car. When the man confronted her, she yelled for the second person to help her.Investigators said the victim pepper sprayed the armed suspect, punched him and ran. As the victim ran, the armed suspect fired at the victim but missed, and the two suspects drove away.
Officers located the suspects and tried to pull them over but they refused to stop and were driving erratically until they reached I-5.The suspects, a 31-year-old man and 25-year-old woman, were arrested and booked into the King County Jail.
