Survivor's Dan Spilo Breaks Silence on His Behavior on the Show: 'I Am Deeply Sorry'

Producers pulled each contestant aside to discuss the issue — but some players now say that the warnings were so unspecific that no one understood the severity of the issue.

“It was just a very vague blanket statement telling me if I ever felt unsafe, I should let production know,” contestant Aaron Meredith toldAs for the incident that led to his removal, according to multiple sources, Spilo insisted that the contact was inadvertent and accidental as he lost his balance while trying to get into the boat. But the show’s production team wasn’t convinced that the contact was merely incidental.

Not buying this apology....this is a “sorry if you felt that way” kind of an apology.

Of course he’s going to say he’s sorry because he got caught! He has to say something. Im just waiting for people who have worked for him in the past to share their stories. He should have been removed right away. Total creeper.

He seems sincere in his apology. We can't just throw out all forgiveness. Not only was he embarrassed on TV but lost a chance at $1mil and has prob suffered immeasurable damage to his reputation. If he can't defend himself on the show that condemned him, what else should he do?

This guy is obviously an idiot … but where was the outrage when Richard Hatch was buck naked for weeks during his season? The producers didn't have one problem with that!

His apology was very heartfelt. I think it's time to put down the pitchforks and take this as a learning moment. if the world is to change, then it's time to learn from one another.
