But, he wrote, “I reluctantly conclude that there is simply not enough time at this late date to decide the question before the election.” Last week, the justices divided 4-4, a tie vote that allowed the three-day extension ordered by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to remain in effect.
I don't get why this is even a thing. Why are we extending our voting deadlines? It's like these people don't understand why a deadline is important. We've had more than enough time to turn in our ballots and more time than usual to go to the polls to vote. Why 3 more days?
