Warmer weather is unlikely to stop the spread of coronavirus, the director of the National Institutes of Health says in a blog post. Follow live updates:

“We’ll obviously have to wait a few months to get the data. But for now, many researchers have their doubts that the COVID-19 pandemic will enter a needed summertime lull,” he added. He pointed to a series of computer simulations published in the journal Science by researchers at Princeton Environmental Institute that showed how the virus will likely spread this summer.

“Less clear is how seasonal variations in the weather might modulate the spread of a new virus that the vast majority of people and their immune systems have yet to encounter,” Collins wrote.

You can't stop prophesy...

Also it has been proven by American scientists that the heat from the Sun kills any type of virus Covid 19 made up by cdc to bring fear to the world and to try to stop election...it will not happen president trump will be the president for 4 more years

So the 'tests' showing it doesn't survive in high temps or uv rays was not accurate?

I thought the BLM protests ended covid?

FAKE NEWS fear mongers !!!!! Thanks for all you do. TRUMP 2020!!!!! And maybe even 2024

Sorry do not believe anything they say anymore.

I think that was proven 2 months ago when south east Asia had temperatures of 100 degrees, especially Indian region where temps went up to 110 degrees and have been consistent 120 nowadays..Their numbers of COVID are rocketing up instead of sliding down. So summer is not helpful

That right, let’s scare everyone and keep America closed until all jobs are lost and then we can blame Trump and bring in a socialist.

But looting and rioting stopped it!

duh

It’s still spreading in Arizona, and we’ve hit 112.

Fear mongering again.. please stop.. warmer weather will make this thing less contagious..

Racism ameRica And Racism AmeRica

Covid is old news. There’s even someone saying how it was a false alarm. Stop putting fear into the people. The only virus is the media.

Protests are unlikely to stop it too

Is this still a thing?

I never saw so many stupid people together in a broadcasting, inventiving people to march during a pandemic is sending inocent lives to death, awake up CNN,

Warmer weather won’t but RIOTS will 🤔🤪🤨

Thats total madness,if warm weather can stop the dreaded Rona then the hot weather in middle East countries should have extinguished it there

But...but...but...Trump said warm weather will help...

Yemen has a raging virus...it's 85 degrees.

Apparently rioting doesnt spread it.

Coronavirus? You’re kidding right?

If you're reporting this, the exact opposite is most likely true.

Do you wanna tell that to the thousands demonstrating in the streets?

I live in Florida.We know.

why should it? Corona viruses did always disappear end of April. This one is already gone - it is only in our brains.

It is well known that flu and colds are more common in cold weather. Coronavirus belongs to the same class. Warm weather should help the fight against Covid-19.

if after all the openings across the US and the Protests and riots If the hospitals aren't overrun in a couple of days, then the hole you been digging, . just got a lot deeper.

The vandals and looters are gonna spread it more 😷

Neither is running round the streets acting like thugs

Whhhhhaaaaaaat! But our stable genius said...

Oh yeah! I almost forgot about the Corona Virus

But riots can definitely stop corona virus spreading!
