Sure, such things need to be taught to kids, but they’re too young to truly understand it.
I will never forget when I was in the 5th or 6th grade my social studies teacher had the class do a project on slaves and Egyptians. 1/2 class was slaves one day 1/2 the next. It was a learning experience, didn’t scar me. He was one of the best teachers I ever had. RIP Mr Washgtn
